Editorial Design

BD Landscape Architects are a design based landscape consultancy with outstanding expertise in the field of public realm design and a growing reputation for contemporary landscape architecture, urban design and space-making.  Passport rebranded the company in early 2014 and following their 5th birthday, BD returned to us to design a retrospective book of their best projects to date. This substantial editorial piece was a great chance to fully implement the visual identity that we had previously created.

Textured and tonal variations of the core grey and orange palette have been applied across the journal and its custom packaging through responsibly sourced paper stocks to echo the corporate stationery. Elements such as the handwritten labels and the perforated opening strip were used to reinforce the personal and tactile approach that we had also began to establish through their overarching brand identity.  The soft-back, interactive nature of the review journal is intended to fulfil several functions, ranging from capturing a significant milestone, to being a useful studio reference as well as a promotional piece for the company moving forward.
